Rabbits blog:
Our theme this week is rainbows, and the children are thoroughly enjoying the colourful displays around the room. They have been experimenting with colour mixing and practising their fine motor skills by using pipettes to drip small drops of colour onto cotton wool. The children showed excellent engagement throughout the activity, concentrating carefully as they watched the colours blend and change.
In the garden, the children are happily sharing our riding equipment, such as the rocker and trikes, taking turns and enjoying them together. They showed lovely cooperation while rocking the seesaw and used their legs with great effort to push themselves forward on the trikes. It was wonderful to hear their little conversations and the bursts of giggles as they enjoyed the experience.
For our sensory activity, the children loved scooping up the gloop and watching the colours blend and change in the tuff tray. The rainbow den has also been very popular. The children enjoyed feeling the different textures we used to create the rainbow, and they loved being inside the den to share books with their peers. It was a delight to hear them singing their favourite nursery rhymes together as they relaxed and explored.
