OWWL blog:

This week in our OWWL sessions, we have been very busy around the centre. We planted all of the potatoes that the children kindly brought in, helping to expand our growing areas and giving everyone the opportunity to take part in the planting process.

We have also been planting a variety of flowers around the centre, including our growing sunflowers which are beginning to develop nicely. The children have enjoyed helping to brighten up the space whilst learning about how flowers grow and the importance of caring for plants.

Throughout the week, we have continued watering and weeding to help keep our gardens healthy and thriving. We have also been feeding the chickens and making sure they are well cared for.

In addition, we harvested some of our carrots this week. These were put out for people to take in return for a donation towards our OWWL sessions, helping to support future activities and resources for the group.

Overall, it has been another productive and enjoyable week, full of planting, caring for our environment and working together as a team
