OWWL Weekly Overview:

This week in our OWWL sessions, we revisited our phonics book 'Pip and Pap at the Allotment'. We had discussions about our allotment, including what we are currently growing, what we plan to grow and how seeds and plants develop in the soil.

We harvested more tender stem broccoli and ensured all of our seedlings and growing vegetables in the polytunnel were well watered. We also planted corn as part of our ongoing growing activities.

As part of our practical work, we moved wood chips using large spades and wheelbarrows. We cleared wood chips from the tops of our raised planters and sieved the soil, preparing it for planting.

We now have a clear planting plan in place for the summer term and are looking forward to watching our allotment grow.
