Kits blog:
PSED – The children are learning to take turns while sitting on the drum, enjoying singing together in a small group and engaging happily in the activity. They are beginning to understand simple phrases such as “Your turn!” and “My turn!”.
Communication and Language – The children are freely accessing their favourite books in the book corner, taking great pleasure in flipping through the pages and looking closely at the pictures. They are also particularly enjoying the touch‑and‑feel books, using their fingertips to explore different textures.
Gross Motor Development – The children in the Kits room are having lots of fun crawling in and out of the tunnel, as well as kicking and throwing balls, which supports their physical confidence and coordination.
Fine Motor Skills – The children have been exploring mark‑making using coloured ice lollies, allowing them to experience both the creative process and the sensory element of the cold ice. They have also been given the task of peeling masking tape from the window, using their thumb and forefinger to remove it. They have shown impressive concentration and perseverance during this activity.
