In Badgers and Foxes, we have been exploring a Traditional Tale – The Gingerbread Man! We have used this story in lots of different ways. We practiced our counting skills by making sure The Gingerbread Man had enough buttons! We used our dough making skills – pushing and rolling – to make our Gingerbread man. We spent time using our senses to touch, smell and taste the dough. We pushed and pressed our cookie cutters into the dough before baking them and decorating. We enjoyed making obstacle courses inside and outside to mirror how The Gingerbread Man could have made this journey safely across the water – without the help of the Fox!
