Rabbits blog:
After the festive break, the children returned to nursery full of enthusiasm, sharing how much they had missed playing with their friends. They have been exchanging lovely smiles and showing wonderful cooperation in their play. It is also noticeable how much their communication has developed, with many of them using their words more confidently during interactions.
The children showed great curiosity and excitement as they explored our Arctic‑themed tuff tray. They spent a long time playing and investigating the soft, cold textures of the shaving foam and ice and enjoyed using the bears and penguins in their imaginative play.
The children have been thoroughly enjoying their woodland exploration, walking over the crunchy, frozen leaves and wandering alongside their peers. They were especially fascinated by a large lump of ice, eagerly touching, lifting and investigating it. Through this experience, they have been learning and using new vocabulary such as cold, slippery, heavy and wet - showing lovely progress in their language development.
