OWWL blog:
Kits
The children are having a wonderful time outdoors. Staff have set out toys and resources in the garden that match the children’s interests, helping them stay engaged in their play and learning without interruption. The children are also enjoying collecting natural materials and using them to create nature inspired artwork.
Some of the children have shown curiosity about the mud kitchen, exploring the weight and feel of the large pots and pans. With adult support, they are also beginning to take appropriate risks on the climbing equipment, such as crawling through the tunnel and having a turn on the slide.
Rabbits
The children continued their visits to the allotment and had a wonderful time picking blackberries, cucumbers and peas and checking the grapes to see whether they had grown any bigger. They also discovered a few bugs, taking turns to watch them crawl gently across their hands.
The children collected colourful flowers too, using them to create their own nature inspired masterpieces.
