Kits and Rabbits:
Kits
In Kits Room, the babies enjoyed exploring paint with their hands and using a paintbrush with a palm grasp painting a medium sized pumpkin. They showed great curiosity and focus throughout the activity. This experience helps strengthen early fine motor skills through creative exploration.
Whilst in the main garden, the babies freely explored the outdoor space, practising their walking skills and building their confidence in movement. They enjoyed imaginative play in the mud kitchen using metal bowls and utensils and were excited to meet the two new chickens in the pen.
Rabbits
In Rabbits Room, the children enjoyed a malleable play activity using playdough. They used their hands to press, squash and flatten the dough into pumpkin shapes, helping to strengthen their fine motor skills. Some confident children also had a go at using easy-grip scissors to cut the playdough into strips with adult support.
The children had a wonderful time exploring the woods, becoming increasingly confident as they discovered different pathways and carefully navigated their way between the trees. They showed great interest in the activities provided, listening attentively and thoughtfully selecting natural resources to create their own masterpieces.
