Kits blog:

In the Kits room, the children have been exploring a variety of flowers, using their senses of smell and touch to engage with nature. They eagerly discovered the different textures of various flower parts, feeling the softness of petals, the sturdiness of stems, and the delicate structure of leaves.

We are making the most of the beautiful weather in the garden, engaging in activities that strengthen the children’s gross motor skills. They enthusiastically rode around with the cars, balancing on the seesaw, and practicing coordination as they kick balls, all while having a fantastic time outdoors.

We celebrated VE Day in the garden, enjoying a lovely snack outdoors in the sunshine. The children took part in decorating bunting, painting it in shades of red, white and blue to mark the occasion.

The children engaged in the exciting new experience of coloured ice painting. Initially hesitant to hold the chilly ice blocks, they soon gained confidence through encouragement and adult modelling. Before long, they were joyfully making their marks on the tray, exploring the colours and watching the colour mixed as the ice slowly melted in the tray.
