Partnership with Parents

We welcome and value our partnership with parents, recognising that it is only by working together that we can achieve the very best for the children. …by working together we can achieve the very best for the children…

Keeping in Touch
Staff are happy to talk to you about your child and willing to arrange a mutually convenient time to meet with you. If you need to discuss something with the Head of Centre, please drop in to the office to arrange a time. Should you be worried about anything it can usually be sorted out very quickly this way.

We keep in touch with parents in a number of ways:

  • Curriculum Newsletters: Curriculum information and events – emailed to parents, available on our website and displayed on the parents’ notice boards
  • Centre Newsletters: emailed to parents, available on our website – copies of these are kept in reception if you think you may not have received one
  • Parents’ Notice Boards: In the Nursery entrance and in the Parents’ Area
  • Parent Meetings: These are held twice a year. Appointments are arranged for you to meet with your child’s Key Person
  • Parent Questionnaire Survey: Sent out once a year to seek your views on the quality of provision we provide
  • Governors’ Annual Report to Parents: A report is sent out once a year. An annual meeting will be held if requested by 15 or more parents.

There are a number of different ways you can become more involved in the Centre and with your child’s learning.
